My Life Has Changed Completely

While I stood there I understood more than I can tell; for I was understanding in a conscious manner the connections of things in the body, and the connection of all connections as they must work together like one life.

While I stood there I saw more than I can see; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of things in the spirit, and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being.

I became a raw vegan. Who knows what that really means? Does one have any idea of the steps I took to get there? Does someone sense the extraordinary consequences it will have onto my adventure in this world?

Find your dreams come true. And I wonder if you know what it means, what it means to find your dreams.

Health - The #1 Priority

The vast majority of people realize the importance of health too late, sometimes at a not so old age to suffer of a painful disease for many years before dying.

That said, health is not only about avoiding disease. There is an almost infinite gap of health levels. The level of our health is the most extreme controllable factor that directs the way we think (our brain) and the way we physically are (the rest of our body). Our health level has a humongous impact on the way we live (our lifestyle).

We are all material beings. We are all animals. Let's start acting as so and stop pretending we are something else that excludes it.

Health is my number one priority because health is by far the most important thing. If health is not our first priority in life, we ought to start reviewing our priorities now.

The Confusion Between Sex and Sexism

March 8th 2010 was the International Women's Day. Some women joined their forces and wrote some ideas about sexism and veganism. The idea was excellent and the intention was remarkable. After reading the articles that came out and thinking about it a lot for several days, I came up with the conclusion that they confused sex (the activity) and sexism and that it needs to be sorted out because this type of confusion is widespread in people's mentalities.

Sex is either of the two categories (male or female) into which most organisms are divided.
Sex is (also) an activity associated with sexual intercourse.
Sexism is a prejudice or attitude of bias in favor of the interests of members of one's sex (the category) and against those of members of the other sex.

Sexists violate the principle of equality by favoring the interests of members of one sex at the expense of the interests of members of the other sex. By definition, sexism is solely a discrimination based on sex category, and sex activity has nothing to do with sexism.

Here are four good possible examples of sexism:
1. For the same given job, men get paid more than women.
2. Women need to wear a scarf to cover their face when they go out at a given public place but men do not.
3. Boys are not aloud to play a given game while girls are.
4. Women are denied the right to vote in a given political election, only men can vote.

Obviously, all these previous sexist examples do not relate to sex (the activity).

For good instance, prostitution and pornography are often automatically, and wrongly, associated with sexism. It is relatively easy to acknowledge how those two phenomenas are certainly not always cases of sexism by thinking about homosexual prostitution or homosexual pornography which only involve members of the same sex. Heterosexual prostitution and pornography are by essence identical to homosexual prostitution and pornography and they all are by essence unrelated to sexism. Prostitution and pornography both involve a trade in which one or many individuals exchange sex (the activity) against money (or other favor). This type of trade does not intrinsically involve a favor in the interests of one sex (male or female) against those of the other sex. Indeed, prostitution and pornography are extremely related to sex (the activity) but, again, they have by essence nothing to do with sexism. It is true that prostitution and pornography, like other related horrific illegal issues notably sex trafficking and pedophilia, more often than not implicate sexism, exploitation and abuse; but that is not the point.

Let's consider another example: a man who beats his wife. Does such an act involve sex (the category)? Does such an act involve sex (the activity)? Are any of those (sex category or sex activity) relevant to describe the act? A man who beats his wife is morally wrong, but is the act itself sexist? To help find the answers, we can think about a homosexual couple where one beats his mate. Indeed, sex (the category) is irrelevant in such a case. Therefore, the concept of sexism isn't appropriate to describe such reprehensible behavior, violent mistreatment.

We shall consider one last example: a woman and/or a man who decide to sell their image for some advertisement. First thing first, such action is, according to the law, legal. It is the right for anyone to do so. Now the big question arises: is such behavior or advertisement sexist? Such thing is similar to the two previous examples in that it has a lot to do with sex (the activity) but not so much to do with sex (the category). In fact, our last example is, again, not a case of sexism. Still, advertisement sometimes and too often abuse the image of women into different contexts. It is the context of such an image or its abuse that can be sexist; rather, the sole nature of the image of an individual, naked or not, is not something sexist at all.

In conclusion, there is an important difference between the use or misuse of people of any given sex and the favor of the interests of members of one's sex against those of members of the other sex. Most of the time, such use or misuse includes directly or indirectly sex (the activity), and it is often confused with sexism. We need to understand the difference between the two definitions of sex (the category and the activity) and to understand that the definition of sexism does not include the latest (sex activity).

Nutrition and Cuisine - The Constitution

Nutrition and cuisine are the most important and easily teachable knowledge for a healthy lifestyle - a happy mood, a vibrant body and a clear mind. Sadly, nutrition and cuisine are consistenly overlooked by most people notably because of numerous fundamental culture enabled fallacies.

The overwhelming presence of food in everyone's life - the act of eating - induces both the vulgarisation and the alienation of those concepts - nutrition and cuisine - everywhere in people's speech and mentalities. Here are two popular examples of misconception, one for each of the two interconnected concepts:

1. Our body needs a lot of proteins to function properly and animal-source foods like meat is the best source of proteins.
This fallacy is extreme because of the consequences it has on our food habits, our environmental impacts and our moral grounds. First of all, our body do not need a lot of proteins to work perfectly. The caloric intake from proteins should be around 10 to 15 % only. In fact, eating too much proteins leads to a series of health problems and most people in our western culture consistently eat too much proteins. Second, meat is not at all the best source of proteins because meat always contains toxic substances such as cholesterol and saturated fat, and even often high concentrations of other toxines such as antibiotics and pesticides. The probable best (highest) source of proteins are seed and bean sprouts - such as alfalfa, broccoli, lentil, pea and mung bean sprouts - which contain a high concentration of proteins as long as numerous essential vitamins and minerals.

2. Women are the ones to cook, not men. It is their job because they are best at it.
This is another fallacy. It is also extreme, this time because of its sexist nature and because of its consequences on people's way of thinking. Cuisine (cooking) has nothing to do with sex, rather, it is an activity that every human being should have a great interest on. Food preparation is important and essential for one to live healthily and it is everyone's responsability, both men and women.

Nutrition is a very complex but very interesting subject and cuisine can be even more complex and interesting given its possible artistic dimension.

In our society today, tremendous amounts of unhealthy foods are available everywhere. Thankfully, a lot of fresh organic whole raw foods are easilly accessible, too.

It is one's person enlightment to truly understand and acknowledge the importance of nutrition and cuisine as the main concepts to master, in order to gain full control of its life. Such subjects, like others, are never fully understood and, therefore, need to constantly be studied and revisited by each and every individual, given their high importance.

Conscious Human Earthling

I am proud to be seeking the truth into the roller coaster of love and hate but I am scared to be a judge between good and bad. I am confused to be a witness of joy and pain but I am happy to be a player into the game of life.

Religulous - Larry Charles & Bill Maher

Faith means making a virtue out of not thinking. It's nothing to brag about. Those who preach faith and enable and elevate it are intellectual slave holders keeping mankind in a bondage to fantasy and nonsense that has spawned and justified so much lunacy and destruction. Religion is dangerous because it allows human beings who don't have all the answers to think that they do.

Most people would think it's wonderfull when someone says "I'm willing Lord, I'll do whatever you want me to do" except that since there are no 'Gods' actually talking to us, that void is filled in by people with their own corruptions, limitations and agendas. Anyone who tells you they know what happens when you die, I promise you they don't, how could I be so sure? Because I don't know and they do not possess mental powers that I do not. The only appropriate attitude for men to have about the 'big questions' is not the arrogant certitude that is the whole marker of religion but doubt. Doubt is humble and that's what man needs to be, considering that human history is infinitely filled with things dead wrong. If you belong to a political party or a social club that was tied to as much bigotry, misoginy, homophobia, violence and cheer ignorance as religion is, you'd resign in protest, to do otherwise is to be an enabler, a 'mafia wife', for the true devils of extremisim that draw their legitimacy out of the millions of their fellow travelers.

Nutrition, The Extremely Important But The Extremely Overlooked

Nutrition is the most important aspect to control your health. Health is the most important aspect that controls your intelligence and your mood. Your intelligence and your mood are the two most important aspects that control your lifestyle, the way you live.

Therefore nutrition is the most important aspect that controls the way you live.

The education about nutrition is controlled by the food corporations.
"Establishment does not understand nutrition, and whether they know it or not, they are consistently trying to keep this information from the public. So, I say, first of all, it’s about information control – let’s face it. And I show how industries have devised systems to keep things under control. Registered dietitians, for example, are the only ones allowed to practice nutrition professionally. There’s licensing, and the ones who are controlling the licensing is the American Dietetic Association. And the ADA is a front for the dairy industry, for crying out loud."
~T. Colin Campbell

The vast majority of humans are influenced and alienated regarding nutrition during all their life, notably by their parents, school and television all because of our inherant culture. Rare are the people who really take a deep look into nutrition.

Here are a five examples that show how alienated people are today:
1. Most people believe meat consumption is necessary for optimal health (proteins).
2. Most people believe meat consumption is good for health.
3. Most people believe dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.) consumption is necessary for optimal health (calcium).
4. Most people believe dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.) consumption is good for health.
5. Most people believe eggs consumption is good for health.

The fact of the matter is:
Not only do meat, dairy and eggs contain nutrients which can be easily replaced by the consumption of plant-based food; meat, dairy and eggs consumption is all bad for human health! Scientific research links the consumption of animal products, notably meat and dairy, with a wide range of health problems including acne, runny noses, wheezing, coughing, ear infections, rashes, stomach upsets, asthma, eczema, arthritis, impotence, heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, colon cancer, ovarian cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer. Even most importantly, such consumption promotes profound speciesism - tremendous cruelty and exploitation of nonhuman animals - the disrespect of basic animal rights.

More than ten billions (10,000,000,000) farmed animals are voluntary killed every year in North America alone. That is monstruous and insane.

Deep analysis show that animal products consumption is the number one problem of human societies today, and has been for millennials. It is the root cause of all injustice, pain and suffering, such as poverty and war.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
~Martin Luther King
"Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet."
~Albert Einstein
"For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love."
~Pythagoras
Take a look at these awesome quotes.

A whole-food plant-based diet is simple and extremely healthy:
Roots, stems, leaves, flowers, grains, seeds, fruits, vegetables, algaes and sprouts.

Deception

I have this feeling of intense deception. I get it from time to time but, this morning, it's bad.

I have come to know pretty much exactly who I am and who I am not. I know what I am able to do. I see capacity, beauty, health, intelligence and rationality in myself.

I understand how bad things are in the world, how cruel and selfish humans are, how war and violence fall upon our world. I have come to understand what compassion and peace really are and how I can possibly spread love and hope. I know what superficiality really is and how possession and money are bad concepts. I have opened my mind fully to the new. I try to observe every aspects of our world and I use logic and rationality to analyze it all the time. I celebrate when I find myself wrong for my new attained level of awareness. I am highly conscious.

I get often excited about all this.

But then when I look outside, when I look at the people around me, I mostly see incapacity, uglyness, sickness, stupidity and irrationality. Writing this makes me feel selfish, it makes me feel bad. Who am I to think such thing? Well, the more I think about it, the more I look, the more I know it's real. This is where the deception comes in. I feel so different.

All these people are living their selfish life like if everything is cool, like if all that matters is themself, their friends and their family.
All these people are living their superficial life like if property and money are cherishable, like if all that matters is their cellphone, their computer, their car, their house, their clothes and the number in their bank account.
All these people are living their blindful life like if their opinion is righteous, like if all that matters is their view of the world and, most importantly, what they unconsciously refuse to see of the world.

The deception is intense because I know I cannot change the people around me. The gap of injustice is there to stay. This makes me feel very sad.

Nirvana

I smile, I enjoy, I cherish, I embrace, I appreciate, I share, I hope, I love...

I strictly avoid any flow of suffering to enter my body. I do my best to be fully compassionate in every decision I make and it starts with the materials I put and do not put inside and onto my body. I come to know exactly the overall effects most of my conscious and unconscious decisions have on myself.

Go organic straightedge vegan... for nirvana!

Vegan Advocacy

You should consider veganism as soon as possible. In fact, you must adopt a vegan lifestyle as soon as possible, the sooner the better. Go vegan!

Accept and the flow of love, joy and compassion will keep on flurishing inside and around your heart.
Refuse and the flow of hate, sadness and selfishness will keep on spreading inside and around your heart.

Not a single one argument that has been drawn against veganism resists a fair examination. On the other side, the fundamental arguments promoting veganism are indestructible:
1. Morality pursue
2. Animal rights respect
3. Health pursue
4. Earth respect
5. Ressources sustainability
6. Poverty and malnutrition eradication
7. Exploitation abolition

No matter how violently people will oppose me, I shall work hard to promote compassion and respect towards all living creatures for all my life.
No matter how discouraging people will be with me, I shall be a vegan advocate forever.
No matter how madly people will hate me, I shall do my best to spread vegan love until the end of time.

When I Dream, I'm Out of Time.

I dream of a world where compassion and empathy overrule convenience and greed, a world where murder and cruelty are something of the past, a world where every living creature is a somebody, not a something.

I dream of a world where peace and love overrule war and violence, a world where we never steal the milk intended for someone else, a world where we refuse to kill for the taste of someone else's flesh or for the ressource of someone else's land.

I dream of a world where hope and joy overrule death and sadness, a world where exploitation is never even considered, a world where all earthlings live in moral harmony and complete freedom.

Go Vegan Three Times More Than Once

I am vegan because I want to have awesome health.
I am vegan because I want the abolition of animal exploitation.
I am vegan because I want to live on a pollution-free planet.

I embrace veganism because I respect myself.
I embrace veganism because I respect all animals.
I embrace veganism because I respect the Earth.

I know that meat, dairy and eggs consumption leads to numerous diseases and health issues.
I know that meat, dairy and eggs purchase supports the exploitation of animals.
I know that meat, dairy and eggs production causes tremendous environmental pollution and destruction.

A plant-based lifestyle is best for my well-being.
A plant-based lifestyle includes the most ethical diet.
A plant-based lifestyle is very eco-friendly.

I have a moral obligation in regards to humans that spoil their health and disrespect the animals, themselves and the environment.
I have a moral obligation in regards to nonhuman animals that get exploited and treated as mere objects.
I have a moral obligation in regards to the Earth - our home, the home of my children and their children - that suffers significant degradation.

I do it for myself and all the other humans.
I do it for the nonhuman animals.
I do it for our planet.
